House Fire

January 31, 2010

On Sunday January 31st the Mocksville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire with the Center VFD assisting. The first units arrived to find a 2 story residence with smoke showing from the C-D corner. Interior crews made an attack on a fire in the kitchen area and found the fire had extended to the attic and second floor. Crews advanced to the second floor and began opening the ceiling to find heavy involvement in the attic. William R Davie VFD was dispatched for additional man power along with Davie County Air Response Team, Jerusalem VFD provided an engine company to standby Mocksville Station during the incident. After an extensive overhaul the fire was brought under control with no injuries.
