On October 19th, 2005 at 1400hrs Mocksville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported explosion at Cycle Group Industries. Engine 2201 arrived to find a multi-story industrial facility with smoke and fire showing from the rear. During operations a 2nd explosion occurred. Two workers from the facility were rescued, treated and transported to the hospital. The fire was extinguished and the incident was brought under control. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. Multiple alarms were called with assistance from Fork, Cornatizer-Dulin, Smith Grove, and Center Fire Departments, Davie County Mobile Air Unit and Davie County EMS. Responding units from Mocksville Fire Department were Engine 2201, Engine 2205, Rescue 2208 and Ladder 22.
