The Mocksville Fire Dept. held it's Annual Firefighter & First
Responder of the Year Banquet on Sept. 14th 2009. The Banquet was
attended by retired Mocksville Firefighters, the Mayor of
Mocksville, Town Manager and several Town Board Members. The Banquet
is held to honor the Departments member that has gone above and
beyond the call of duty both in attendance and training. The winner
of both awards are chosen by a vote of the membership of the
department.
The 2009 Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Keith Snead. FF
Snead had 186 hours of training and attended 67 % of fire calls
from1/1/09 - 9/1/09.
The 2009 Responder of the Year award was given to Christopher
Barrett. FF Barrett made 52% of the medical calls from 1/1/09 -
9/1/09.
