On September 10th, 2005 Mocksville Fire Department held its annual Firefighter of the Year Award supper. This year the supper was held at Pier 601 Seafood in Mocksville. Special guest Mocksville Town Manager Christine Sanders presented the awards. The 2005 Firefighter of the Year was Firefighter Ray Moore. Ray is a full time firefighter for the City of Salisbury and an active part time/volunteer for the Mocksville Fire Department. In addition to the Firefighter of the Year award, a First Responder of the Year award was presented to Firefighter Steve Walters. Congratulations to both Ray and Steve!
