On Tuesday April 4th 2006, Mocksville Fire Department responded with Haz-Mat 1 to a hazardous materials drill at the Davie County Water Treatment Plant. Hazardous Material Technicians from Davie County Hazardous Materials Response Team suited up in level A suits and made entry into the plant. The simulated victim was rescued and the leak was stopped. Other agencies involved were Farmington VFD, Smith Grove VFD, Davie County EMS, Davie County Sheriffs Department and Davie County Emergency Management.
